## SEA-specific tips for Business Class travelers

- International gates concentrated in the S-Terminal. Most international Business Class flights depart from the satellite S-Terminal accessed via underground train from the main terminal. Allow 15-20 minutes to clear security and reach the S-Terminal for the first time.
- Best lounges at SEA: Delta Sky Club (multiple locations including a flagship near Concourse A), Alaska Lounge (multiple locations), British Airways Lounge (S-Terminal). The Delta Sky Club at SEA is one of the strongest in the US Delta network.
- Light Rail to downtown Seattle: $3 + 38 minutes to Westlake Station. The most affordable airport-to-downtown transit on the US West Coast. For Business Class arrivals, lighter rush hour than rideshare during Seattle's notorious afternoon traffic.
- TSA Precheck + Clear lines are typically very fast (under 10 minutes). Standard TSA can run 30-45 minutes during summer + Microsoft / Amazon corporate travel peaks. Arrive 2 hours before international Business Class with Precheck; 2.5 hours without.
- Delta One is the Seattle Business Class anchor. Delta's SEA hub focuses on transpacific (HND, ICN, PVG, TPE, with Narita back from March 2027) plus deep European routes (LHR, CDG, AMS). For travelers prioritizing US carrier loyalty programs, SEA on Delta One is the strongest transpacific play.

## Frequently asked

### Which Business Class carriers operate from Seattle?

12+ international Business Class carriers: Delta (SEA hub for transpacific), Alaska Airlines (oneworld member, now flying 787-9 long-haul), ANA, JAL, Korean Air, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic (summer), Lufthansa, Air France, Hainan Airlines (Beijing), plus seasonal Condor.

### What is the cheapest Business Class destination from Seattle?

Through a consolidator in shoulder season: SEA-NRT on Delta One or ANA at $3,200-$4,400 round-trip is typically the cheapest transpacific Business from SEA. SEA-ICN on Korean Air or Delta One at $3,000-$4,400 is competitive. SEA-LHR on BA Club Suite at $2,800-$3,800 is the cheapest transatlantic. For pure cheap Business, SEA-ICN on Korean Air often surfaces at $3,000 in deep off-peak.

### How does Seattle compare to LAX/SFO for transpacific Business?

SEA is typically $200-$500 cheaper than LAX on the same transpacific routes through a consolidator. SFO and SEA tend to cluster within $100-$200 of each other on most routes. For Pacific Northwest travelers, SEA is the obvious choice; for California travelers, LAX/SFO is more convenient. Delta One out of SEA has the deepest transpacific schedule of any US carrier from any US West Coast airport.

### Should I fly Alaska Airlines transcon from SEA?

Alaska First Class is comparable to American Domestic First and United First, not lie-flat. For premium transcon (SEA-JFK, SEA-BOS), Delta One is the only lie-flat option from SEA. JetBlue's Seattle flights to JFK and Boston now run in summer only. For pure domestic premium without lie-flat, Alaska First Class is competitive.

### How early should I arrive at SEA for international Business Class?

Two hours before international Business Class is sufficient with TSA Precheck. Without Precheck, 2.5 hours is safer; SEA standard TSA can run 30-45 minutes during peak periods. The S-Terminal underground train adds 10-15 minutes to your transit time after security, so factor that into arrival timing.

### Can I redeem miles for SEA Business Class to Asia?

Yes. Delta SkyMiles is the most useful program for SEA transpacific Business (Delta hub). SkyMiles awards are dynamically priced but typically run 85,000-150,000 miles one-way SEA-NRT Business in non-peak. AAdvantage on JAL or Cathay charges 60,000-80,000 miles one-way SEA-NRT/HKG Business. ANA Mileage Club charges 75,000-85,000 miles one-way Seattle-Tokyo on ANA. Virgin Atlantic Flying Club is excellent for ANA awards (90,000 miles one-way).

## Fare information & legal notice

At Business Class Travel, all fares are transparently displayed in USD and include all taxes, fees, and surcharges. Quoted prices are 'from' rates per person, typically for weekday (Monday-Thursday) Business Class travel originating in the USA, with the final price varying based on your chosen cabin, departure city, airline, and route. Generally, the lowest transatlantic fares depart from the East Coast, transpacific from the West Coast, and Latin American routes from Florida. To offer you unique value, some partner airline or itinerary details may remain confidential online until the time of booking, allowing us to secure savings of up to 60% off full unrestricted fares from major airlines, though actual savings vary by specific fare rules. Please note that some airlines may charge extra for baggage, and all our special fares are subject to seat availability, which is limited and may not be available on all flights or dates. We are pleased that many of our partner airlines currently offer flexible booking policies, including free exchanges and/or cancellations; typically, cancellations result in an airline travel credit (less any airline fees) valid per the airline's policy, while exchanges may incur a fare difference. Fares and their governing rules are subject to change without prior notice, and other restrictions may apply. The Business Class Travel team is always here to assist with any questions.
