What flying Air France new Business is actually like
The new Business cabin
Air France's newest Business suite (Safran Versa family) is a 1-2-1 reverse-herringbone layout with a sliding privacy door, a flat bed of almost 2 meters (about 78 inches), a 17.3-inch 4K screen, ample storage, and Clarins skincare in the amenity kit. It flies on the retrofitted 777-300ERs (since January 2023) and on the A350-900s delivered from 2023. The first 20 A350s, the 777-200ER and the 787-9 have an earlier flat-bed seat without a door. Competitive with BA Club Suite on hard product.
The catering
Air France in-flight dining is one of the standouts in transatlantic Business. Multi-course service with menus by Michelin-starred French chefs. Real cheese course with multiple French cheeses and Champagne on board. Wine list curated by AF sommeliers. For travelers who care about food, Air France is a clear top-tier choice.
The CDG Business Lounge
Air France runs Business lounges in Paris CDG Terminals 2E and 2F. The Hall K lounge in 2E was rebuilt in April 2025, with 638 seats and Ducasse dining; the Hall L lounge (renovated in 2018) offers free 20-minute Clarins treatments, plus a Champagne bar, work zones and showers. In the US, Air France opened a lounge at Chicago O'Hare in October 2025, and a new lounge at New York JFK's New Terminal One is due in 2027.
La Premiere (First Class) context
Air France operates La Premiere (First Class) on select 777-300ERs, separate from Business. The La Premiere lounge at CDG, redesigned in July 2026, has table-service dining by Ducasse, a Sisley spa and three private suites. As of October 2026. Every Air France long-haul Business seat is fully flat; the quick tell for a door is 48 or 60 Business seats. Older 296-seat 777s are being converted to the 312-seat layout by the end of 2026.
