Five steps from research to ticketed booking. Every step is something our advisors do for you, but helpful to understand the process.
Pick the gateway. JFK, EWR, and MIA all have non-stop Business Class service. MIA is typically the cheapest base. IAH, ATL, LAX require a connection through Lima, Sao Paulo, or another South American hub.
Pick the carrier. American Flagship Business (777-300ER) is excellent. United Polaris (EWR 787-9) is the cleanest competitor. Delta One ATL-GRU + LATAM connection is competitive. LATAM and Aerolineas Argentinas are partner-quality but typically a step below the US carriers on hard product.
Time the booking. Argentine summer (Dec-Feb) overlaps US winter break, so peak fares apply. April-October is value window with 25-45% off peak depending on month. June-August is cheapest but coldest in BA itself.
Plan the in-Argentina logistics. Extending to Mendoza wine country, Bariloche, Patagonia (El Calafate), or Ushuaia requires a domestic Aerolineas or JetSmart flight. Business / Premium domestic is available on most major intra-Argentina routes and adds modestly to the consolidator ticket.
Lock the fare in writing. Verify aircraft (American 777-300ER vs 787-9 is different cabin layout), connection time on multi-leg routings (2-3h at Lima or Sao Paulo is comfortable), and any visa-related questions for non-US-passport travelers.
Three windows, three different price worlds.
Dec - Feb
Peak Business Class fares aligned with Argentine summer. Buenos Aires is hot and humid (28-33°C). Wine country Mendoza harvest in Feb-Mar.
Mar - May
Best Business Class value window. Mild weather (18-25°C), wine harvest season in Mendoza, fewer crowds.
Jun - Aug
Lowest Business Class fares of the year (35-45% below peak). Cool but mostly dry (8-15°C). Best for steak / wine / cultural Buenos Aires itineraries. Ushuaia and Patagonia connection.
Sep - Nov
Reasonable Business Class fares before holiday peak. Jacaranda bloom in November is a Buenos Aires highlight. Iguazu Falls extension shines this window.
Published Business Class US-EZE typically runs $5,200 - $7,800 round-trip in peak season. Through a contracted consolidator, JFK / EWR / MIA-EZE Business round-trip is regularly $3,200 - $4,800 in shoulder season. MIA is often the cheapest gateway due to higher daily frequency and multiple carriers.
Yes. American operates JFK-EZE and MIA-EZE non-stop on the 777-300ER. United operates EWR-EZE on the 787-9. Delta operates ATL-EZE seasonally. LATAM and Aerolineas Argentinas also operate non-stops on the JFK and MIA routes. The MIA route has the most daily frequency.
Both are solid current-generation Business Class. American 777-300ER Flagship Business is 1-2-1 lie-flat with direct aisle access and recently-refurbished interiors. United 787-9 Polaris is also 1-2-1 with the Polaris suite design. American typically has more frequency on the route; United has the slightly more modern aircraft. Pick by schedule fit.
June through August is the cheapest window, with Business Class fares 35-45% below Dec-Feb peak. Buenos Aires is cool but dry (8-15°C), ideal for steak / tango / wine / cultural itineraries. May and September are weather sweet spots with prices 20-30% below peak.
Yes. Aerolineas Argentinas operates Business / Premium domestic to El Calafate (Perito Moreno Glacier), Ushuaia (Tierra del Fuego), Bariloche (Lake District), and Iguazu (the falls). Each is a 2.5-3.5h domestic flight from Buenos Aires. JetSmart is a lower-cost option without true Business Class. Patagonia is best Nov-Mar (austral summer); Iguazu is year-round.
No, US passport holders do not require a tourist visa for Argentina for stays up to 90 days as of 2026. Bring a passport with at least 6 months validity. The reciprocity fee was eliminated in 2016; no advance entry fee or paperwork required beyond a valid passport and proof of onward travel.
