LOT Business on the Boeing 787, non-stops to Warsaw from six US airports plus Krakow flights to Chicago and Newark, the new 1-2-1 seat with a door arriving from late 2026, and how to book it with miles.
LOT's 787-8s have 18 Business seats and its 787-9s have 24, both in a 2-2-2 layout. The seats recline to fully flat beds, but window passengers have to step over the aisle passenger, and there are no doors. The cabin is comfortable for sleeping, with a more traditional feel than the newest suites.
LOT is retrofitting its 787s with the Recaro CL6720 in a 1-2-1 layout, giving every seat direct aisle access and a sliding privacy door, plus a 17.3-inch 4K screen, Bluetooth audio and wireless charging. Seat deliveries began in the third quarter of 2026, the first aircraft is expected in late 2026, and the program runs to 2030.
For flights in 2026 and 2027, most LOT aircraft will still have the 2-2-2 seat. Earlier reporting said the commitment covered the 787-8s first, so we confirm the aircraft and cabin on every quote.
From Warsaw, LOT flies non-stop to New York JFK (up to twice daily in summer 2026), Chicago O'Hare, Los Angeles, Newark and Miami, plus San Francisco as a summer route (May to October 2026). Krakow has flights to Chicago and Newark, and Rzeszow to Newark.
The LOT Business Lounge Polonez, expanded in 2025 to more than 860 square meters, sits in the Schengen zone and includes a Polonez Gold area for long-haul Business passengers and Star Alliance Gold members. The Mazurek lounge is on the non-Schengen side, after passport control, which is where US flights depart.
LOT uses Miles & More, the Lufthansa Group program, for its frequent flyers. US travelers more often book LOT Business with United MileagePlus, Air Canada Aeroplan or Avianca LifeMiles, which can access Star Alliance award space when LOT releases it.

Not yet on most flights. Today's 787 seat is a 2-2-2 lie-flat with no door. LOT is fitting a new 1-2-1 seat with a sliding door from late 2026, with the program running to 2030, so we confirm which cabin your flight has.
Yes. LOT is in Star Alliance, so United MileagePlus, Air Canada Aeroplan and Avianca LifeMiles can book LOT Business when award space is released. LOT's own program is Miles & More.
US flights leave from the non-Schengen side, where the Mazurek lounge is. The larger Polonez lounge, with its Polonez Gold area, is in the Schengen zone; you can use it first and then clear passport control.
